SOUTH LONDON, England, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- A British woman who abandoned her car after a rat dove through her window now faces a hefty repair bill because the hungry rodent devoured her auto's interior. The rat leaped from a passing truck through Lucille James' open window and into her lap while she was driving near her home in South London, The Sun reported Monday.
A panicked James screamed and swerved, then abadoned her S-Reg Renault Megane for two weeks. When she finally went to retrieve her car, James found the rodent had destroyed her seats, burrowed into the dashboard and died. "It will cost hundreds to fix," she told The Sun.
