Rattle in engine

Is the oil capacity right with the 6 Qts.? When I park on an incline nose up for about 3 hours and start the car a nasty noise like something isn't getting oil for about 3 seconds. If I park the other way, nose down it doesn't happen. I looked in the past posts quickly but I didn't find anything, what do you think? thanks!

normal, its the timing chains, if you get a K&N oil filter it will help with this problem

It's the tensioners for the timing chains. Early quad cams had a problem with the tensioners leaking off after shutdown, and letting the chains get a little slack in em. after the oil pump starts spinning again, they pump them selves back up.


Ford sells an update kit, but it's not worth the time required to pull the front cover, and swap out.
