I know you need a tool to push back the piston on the rear calipers. Does any one know the dimension betwen the holes or the tool size needed? I think it is :

1.656" Drive Adapter Caliper Attachment

But cant be sure. I want to get the right adapter the first time.

Thanks!

This is what I purchased. I did not want to run into trying to purchase just the one specific one and end up with the wrong one. So, I purchased that kit.

Thanks, I was hoping to avoid that, but that is pretty inexpensive and you can never have enough tools!

Thanks Rich, but I need to do my brakes by Friday for a trip this weekend. I was hoping to find just the size needed and get a loaner tool frm auto fart, er zone. The have a small kit with only three sizes but dont want to waste my time if it wont work.

the spacing is 1 5/8" most popular ford caliper size
which is 1.625"

good luck,

nothing beats having the right tool, but you can do it with a needle nose pliers as others have said,i did it many times that way before buying the right tool,

~$30 harbor freight.includes 8 or 9 different adapters to do almost every kind of disc brake in the world.

For $30 sounds like plan. I have a HF an hour away cost as much in gas:eek:

Thanks again gang!
