Rear Driver's Wheel Tilted Up

Hey guys! I've just purchased my new (to me) 2004 Lincoln LS V8. Upon bringing it home, I've noticed that the rear wheel is kind of angled up and not sitting flat on the concrete. What could be the issue here? I was told the strut can be bent in the back, but it doesn't look bent from underneath the car. Can I get some help?

are both rear tires "not flat"?

the LS does have a fairly high amount of camber compared to a lot of cars, so the wheels do normally tilt in a bit at the tops
 
You dont have struts. You have coil over shocks (the non-adjustable kind). The LS has a bit of camber in the rear (top of wheel angled in towards the middle of vehicle), it is not adjustable. If the right and left rear wheels are angled in at the top differently, you could have a bent upper or lower control arm or the bushings in the control arms are shot. Your coil over shock could also be shot causing one side to sit lower than the other thus increasing camber.
 
I'll take a picture some time this morning and try to post it on here. My driveway has a big hump to get in and there was a lot of creaking noise coming from the suspension in the back. So those will be replaced asap. I'll have to have it lifted to check and see what's going on.
 
Check all of the rubber components. I'd be willing to bet the stabilizer bar links and the rear adjust links rubber boots are shot as well. Common issues with these cars.

Or any 11 year old car...... My '65 Mustang need a front-end rebuild at 9 years (and waaaaaaay less than 100K miles).....
 
just check your junk mail/coupon books/etc for a few of those shops that offer 'free alignment check'..
get a few of them bc every one will be diff.. ask '21 questions' of the ppl doin the check while youre at it. collect all the quotes and dont forget to get at least one quote from someone known to be trustworthy ie. dealer/reputable shop
 
I've had the car lifted today to see what's going on underneath. The mechanic says that the upper and lower control arms in the back need to be replaced. I've read that the control arms normally don't need to be replaced unless it was in an accident, and that the bushings are what can be replaced to make it like new. Is this true? Can anybody recommend a source to get good bushings at a decent price?

FoMoCo does not have a service procedure for replacing just the bushings as they prefer you replace the entire control arm. A qualified mechanic can remove and replace the bushings of course and I would recommend you do just that, with polyurethane bushings.
 
All2kool, do you have a recommendation on where to get the polyurethane bushings from? I've read something about Energy Suspension, but do you know a part number? Thanks.
