Rear end ?

hey guys i have a 97 Town Car and i need to put a rear end in it because my dads been driving it while i was gone and it need a wheel bearing so now the entire rear end is fried. well i have the 2.70 rear end while all the junk yards here have the3.08 i was wondering if i put the 3.08 in would everything still work? and to get the speed to be right i would put the speed sensor from the donor car would it work? TIA

should work I think the only thing different would be if the car had limited slip or not and disc breaks or drum
If i remember correctly if you got limited slip you could not have traction control
