My passenger rear power window has ceased to function. One day it went down and decided not to go up. However, I can still hear the motor turning, but it sounds like the cable is binded up. I am guessing that I will have to pop the door panel.. but I am curious if anybody has done this before, and will I have to buy new clips from Ford?

Thanks.

Is this the correct replacement part for the rear/right door's window regulator? http://www.trademotion.com/partloca...=62136&make=21&model=Ls&year=2002&catalogid=1

I tried the part no.s that Quik LS posted on one of those threads but teamfordparts.com doesn't find it.

PS.. thanks for the help.. I got the door panel all taken apart yesterday and my door is chillin with a piece of wood in it keeping the window up. It is monsoon season down here so I couldn't wait.. I had to get that window up. It was quite easy to get the door panel off.. I thought it would be harder. Plus, I am impressed with the insulation and protective water and adhesive layer in there.

That should be it...but most likely you may not even have to replace the entire thing. Alot of times the motor just fell off the track or something like that. Same thing happened to me with the rear window and I brought it to the stealership and they fixed it right up and warranty covered it...unfortunately I'm not sure of the specifics but i do know they replaced the whole motor...

Unfortunately, I have to replace everything.. after looking at my regulator I can see that first; the top pulley is somewhat chipped and the steel cable was bound up inside the motor's pulley.. causing it to crimp and bend.

I thought I could just put it back together.. with the cable back on the top pulley.. but after re-mounting the motor; the window was on its way up.. but 1'' from the top it snapped and fell back down. So; I ripped it all out and need a new one.
