Rear shock absorber top mount

Hello All, I started noticing an annoying rattle towards the right rear of my spring converted 95 Mark VIII. Upon investigation I found that the top had worn through the aluminum 4 cornered mounting washer. My question is whether any of you good people know of a cheap safe repair or as I suspect replacement being the best option. By the way, have plans (date, time, location, nearby lodgings) been finalized? I'm approximately 100 miles south and would love to attend and be able to mingle with people with great taste in cars. :L
