Hey Guys I'm new to LVC and I'm gonna jump right off the deep end. Just bought a 2001 LS V6 80K. Rear driver window won't go down. Thought it was just maybe something simple like a motor or regulator. When I took off the panel I found the window was being held in place by a wire clothes hanger attached to a screw. No motor, no regulator, nothing. Now that I have calmed down a little bit, the way the window was rigged was actually took some doing, almost "McGyver" like. Now since I am a DIY'er I'm gonna give this window a shot. Any ideas where I can find a parts breakdown to see what I need? THe only thing behind the panel is the wiring harness.

It looks like someone just ripped out the window regulator and hardware when their window stopped working. This was a common problem on the 00-02 LS's with the window regulators. They would just go out with no warning.

Your best bet is to call Bill Jenkins with Team Ford at 800-791-6436. He can help you find what you are looking for so that you can repair your LS.

That would piss me off big time! I would definitely get in touch with who I bought it from and seek some sort of recourse.

yeah, my front passenger window wont roll down when i use the switch on that door, but it will if i use the switch on the driver's door, any ideas why? just a bad switch?

I hate to admit to this, but I had the infamous rear window failure now to long ago, and yes, in order to keep the window closed... I also used a wire coat hangar to keep it up in place... Oh the shame...:(

Ive been plannig on fixing it but I figured I'd deal with the leaky valve cover gasket\ COP misfireing first. Ive got the stupid moisture in the headlight problem too, but thats low on my priority list.

hey i got all the parts you need for the rear window... motor, regulator, everything... i was in an accident and needed to get a new door... lemme know if you need anything, i can hook you up...

i got parts for the rear drivers side door and the drivers door...
