Does anyone else with the compass rearview have issues with it shaking? I know the suspension is alittle on the stiff side but my mirror is constantly vibrating which trips me out when trying drive.

Mine does, but I think it started after I put 2 12" subs in the back.

Exactly. Mine does it from normal driving, actually probably worse than with subs. I'm gonna try some kind of putty or something to reduce the vibration.

You car is still under factory warranty, the dealer should replace it.

if you have had your windshield replaced make sure the mirror is fully seated on the button on the windwhield its really tough to get it all the way down, winshield guys leave them loose all the time.

be careful messing with your rear view mirror, unless you get lucky like i did on ebay, they cost 250 bucks. the aluminum shaft breaks easy

So does the windshield. Be careful if you replace that mirror yourself. Mine had a bit of a leak in the compass display, so I asked the dealer to swap it out. In doing so, they cracked the windshield (which they replaced with an OEM unit at no cost to me).

this is what i did because i have two ten's.
get a piece of 1 1/2 black rubber hose (like radiator hose). put it between the windshield and themirror and pin the hose there with the mirror. by the way lay the hose long ways parallel to the windshield. if you want pics to explain what i am saying, just ask. it works really well.

Mine did that when i bought it 2 years ago. I not exactly sure, but i think i wedged a peice of black 18awg wire between the mirror base and windshield. I recently was messing around with my mirror i knocked it loose so im gonna fix it soon. Ill post what i do.

I just got back from the dealer. They are ordering me a new mirror. They said the actual structure of the mirror is fine, it sits tight when adjusted but the mirror itself has liquid in it and its the actual insides of the mirror vibrating not the housing or whatever. I can hold the mirror as tight as i can when driving and it still vibrates. Weird. Hooray for factory warranty.
