Recall Notice

Am I the only one that received one?! Or didn't I use the right search words. Anyhow, it's the Safety Recall 05S28 - Speed Control Deactivation Switch Fire.
What switch are they referring to? I can't take mine to the dealer 'cuz it's not currently driveable or registered. But I'd at least like to know what they're talking about.

On 93's the deactivation switch is located below the brake booster. On 94 thru 98 the switch is located behind the front passenger side inner fender shield.

Two of my local dealers were being such a hassle about it that I ended up buy buying the part for $15 and doing it myself.

Took in my 96 and 2 hours later supposedly good to go. If it catches fire it's insured.

be careful... some dealers just disconnect the switch... making the speed control inoperable! Make sure it works after they "installed" the new part.
