I've been helping out my wife on one of her projects that requires establishing hosting of three domains, along with subdomains, email addys, shopping cart and all the other standard features. She'd already paid "Globat" a year in advance, to the tune of around $360, prior to me becoming involved. (It had been a recommended service.) It's also been a nightmare from the word "go". First off, they won't load files onto their server via cds, which means the files have been ftp'ed up and that took WEEKS, since there's a massive amount of content and their ftp service is spotty at best. It's impossible to login from one moment to the next. Wait time for customer support on the phone is no less than thirty minutes and their "live chat" is just as bad. You are always directed to fill out a "service ticket". Three days later, they say it's fixed... and... guess what... it ain't. There is NO light at the end of the tunnel and we're ready to cut our losses and find another hosting service that will allow us to load files with CDs that we send them, one that has reliable service and responsive customer service, when a problem does arise. Above, Brian mentioned "www.readyhosting.com". Are there some others that you guys have had extensive experience with and that has performed well? We can't afford to make another mistake on this, since the original domains are running on a company's server and is costing them an outrageous $800 monthly. (We've been screwing around with Globat for two months now. Do the math.) I'm sure there will be some good suggestions and thank you in advance for those.
