Remember: Obama to "RULE" from day one

Oh my god. I love how you gave us a video link to Obama saying he is going to rule the world so that we can justify our irrational hatred of him a little bit more.

No wait... it was just a faux pas or slip of the tongue by an advisor that you want to use to demonize Obama for some ridiculous reason.

While this video is hardly a smoking gun of any kind, do you think that language is important? Do you think that words have meaning?

Or do you think that the people around the President, and the President himself, are so amateurish and unsophisticated, that they continually misspeak and communicate things that they really don't mean?

Do you think that a President "rules" or "governs?"
If you were in the political class and actually knew something about government and history (try to imagine), do you think you'd make that mistake?

Maybe.
But I wouldn't.

"Ruling" is inconsistent with all of the founding principles.
It's inconsistent with the constitution.

"...take power and begin to rule...."
Kings rule. Tyrants and dictators "take power and rule."
So, it's at least an extremely bad choice of words, and at worst, it's a look into the philosophy of this administration and how they view government.

He's been in office about a year and a half now.
Do you think he's governing or constitutional republic or attempting to rule?

idk, I'm just viewing that as some dumbass mistake by one of his many under-experienced staff, and it is entirely conceivable that someone learning about this later, if they saw that clip could get confused about history. Then again, the clip really doesn't reflect history, it is just a news show interviewing someone who is not really qualified for the job she has. Also, in my opinion, not trying to rule, but time will tell.

You start off by saying you don't know and then you go on to presume a hell of a lot.

You just claimed that Valerie Jarret is "under-experienced."
Do you have any idea who she is? Do you have any idea what you're talking about? The answer is clearly no.

and it is entirely conceivable that someone learning about this later, if they saw that clip could get confused about history.
Or, with the benefit of hindsight, when we go back and review the words and actions of this administration and those that are running it, we notice things that we initially overlooked, took for granted, or foolishly gave them the benefit of the doubt.

Then again, the clip really doesn't reflect history,
Actually, it captures it perfectly, with sight and sound.
Video clips like these, particularly the ones that were more obsucre or intended for a limited audience, are haunting this administration, exposing them faster than they can scrub them from the internet.

it is just a news show interviewing someone who is not really qualified for the job she has.
Again, you are stating that Valerie Jarrett is some unqualified, politically under experienced, underling that doesn't understand the ugly art of politics, political speech, or political communication.

You simply couldn't be more wrong.

Also, in my opinion, not trying to rule, but time will tell.
After about 18month of Obama and the people around him running government, your still waiting for time to tell you what kind of a President Obama is?
