I've had my Viper alarm for about a month now with remote start. I've had no problems with it so far. Today I tried to start it and it would attempt to start and then just shut off. I did that twice, finally I got in the car and tried to start it manually with the key and it did the same thing. The next attempt to start it I gave it some gas and it started. Does anybody know why this happened? Should I be worried about this or does that just happen every once in a while?

Sounds more like the leaky injector problem; when you step on the gas prior to starting, you're telling the computer that the engine's flooded. It was called "roll start mode" under EEC-IV; it cut off the fuel supply for roll-starting, to prevent dumping raw fuel into the catalytic converters, so it was also good for starting a flooded engine.

The next time you start it, watch for a puff of white smoke coming out of the tailpipes. If it's hard starting and you get the puff, check the injectors. I don't recall whether the solution was cleaning or replacing the leaky injectors.
