Remote wire?????

For my stereo. Im pretty sure I got it but NO sound is going to the amp out to the subs.

OK, Im using an aftermarket radio(kenwood KDC-mp628) and I got the sub to work and was able to get the amp powered up. But all of a sudden when I turn my radio on, no sound comes out of the speakers or subwoofer. I turned it off, removed the remote wire from the amp turn-on(blue/white) wire, turned the radio back on and it worked fine. I hooked the remote wire back up to the amp turn-on wire and no sound???

Is the remote wire for the antenna?(blue insulation w/ a white tracer?) If I remember right when you turn the radio on the antenna should be energized to extend to full mast.

The remote wire sends a signal from the radio to the amp. When the radio turns on, the amp turns on. For my radio the blue w/ white stripe is the amp turn-on for the factory amp. The solid blue is the power antenna.

an easy solution is to just tap into the wire coming from the car that provides 12V to the radio when you turn the car on. Same thing except its not routed through your radio. Not sure what your problem is but this is a quick fix, I would still investigate what is going on though.

Now when I disconnected the amp remote power and ground wire, I touched the remotew wire to the amp turn-on and the radio cut out. Should I check fuses or what? It was working fine yesterday until I started putting all the interior pieces back on.

I slid the remote wire into the fuse holder port for the radio/power antenna fuse. It works for now, but I will wire it up right as soon as I figure out how to.
