My friend got an aftermarket headunit that he wants me to put in. I got the trim off, but how do I remove the factory radio? I don't see any screws or holes (like my Ford Explorer has), only brass tabs. Im kinda hesitant since it is a Cadillac, which Ive never messed with before, and plus its not my car so I dont wanna break anything. I've searched the forums, Google, tryed to find the factory manuals since he doesn't have one, even tried Yahoo Answers with no luck.
And also, if anyone knows if the regular $20 wiring harness will work in the car? He bought one, and someone told him that he would need the special one that's like $130. My friends not too smart when it comes to stuff like this, he just wants me to try and see if this one works and if not then he'll get the other one. Whats the difference in them, and how do I know which one he needs. I know with my Ford I had the Premium sound package so I had to use the special harness.
