I am going to be replaceing the O-rings on the dryer but have never done it before,do i have to pry the cap off or can i pull the gromets throu the hole?also oldschool1 posted some pics of this procedure in an older post but they seem to have gone down:slam .

Use either a 7 or 8mm wrench, and press down on the (orange or white) caps, to release the hoses, and pull the hoses out. Then take the caps off. Then use a needle nose pliers to take the collets out. Then use a hooked pick to remove the o-rings and plastic washer.
When reinstalling the o-rings, be sure to use silicone lube to ensure smooth reentry, not only for the rings, but for the hoses as well.
Look at your hoses when you have them out, mine were crimped where the old o-rings had a death grip on them. I just cut about an inch off with a razor knife and reinstalled.
Good Luck!!

DebSol has you covered. To remove the lines, press down on the orange collets while pulling the lines out. The pull everything out with a pick or needle-nose pliers. You will need new o-rings, which you can get at any hardware store for ~$1; the size is #6. You will also need dielectric grease. A spray can is easiest for this. I have found that using two o-rings instead of one for each line makes the dryer seal much better and would recommend you do the same. Spray the o-rings, replace everything, and enjoy a properly functioning air ride system.

It just so happens that I had one on the bench the other night. The green line shows what the assembly looks like when ~inside~ of the top of the dryer. Note that these are STOCK lines. The bulge or stop on the uncut line is there as an inticator to let you know when you are fully inserted. If you DO cut or modify the ends of the lines, you'll need to mark them where the lump used to be so that your new installation is of the proper depth. Also, I prefer the Ford kit instead of off the shelf o-rings as the kit replaces the brass grommet also but does NOT replace the plastic washer found between the gromet and the o-ring.
