Is it something I can do on my own? do i just strip the old one off and "seal" the new one in?

what ive heard is you need to buy a new rear window, and re-seal it. IMHO i really do not see the reason to buy a new window, no one has really mentioned the reason for it. it would make sense to just replace the old weather stripping with a new one. but someone else might chime in to help you out. cause i have the same problem as well, my rear seal is starting to wrinkle up.

Dealer says no new window long as old one don't break on taking out to redo seal. makes sence
I don't unless your a glass man with many years under you belt

I'm gonna pull my rear window out of the '93 parts' car. Seal is perfect. I'll let you know how it goes.

rear window...

as far as I know... you have to replace the rear window because the seal is attached to the window...

thanks, i appreciate it. mine leaks like a sieve, i am trying to seal it under the rubber with some silicone, hopefully that will help.
