You pegged that one about a month ago.
What should we know about him. I'm serious. Win back my vote.
Just as a reminder. I voted Democrat for the first time in my 54 years to keep Bush out of office. I still hold dear many Independent and Republican ideals but I couldn't bring myself to vote for him. I still can not, for the life of me, understand why you hold him on such a high pedistal. How bad does it have to get before you open your eyes to this , IMO, failed Presidency.
sup! there lots of things i don't like about bush... I dont like that he is moderate, AT ALL! I don't like seeing conservative ideals being moved toward the center. But for me it is the war on islam that won my vote. I am a Christian... because it is logically the only correct way to be, and not because i was brainwashed to believe this, but because i came to this conclusion out of agnosticism and a desire to know the truth in an apparently confused world..... and i don't define that religion by the way it is followed AT ALL, because the way it is followed is dispicable. But, the way it should be followed is completely logical. And, other religions have serious faults, they really do. They fail to answer the most important questions.
That being said, Islam is out to destroy judaism first and christianity next. With the problems in the middle east haven gone on for years, it was GWB's commitment to hold the flag of christianity high and resist the tyranny of islam throughout the world. The US desperately needs to realize its christian heritage that it is denying today.
GWB proclaimed his faith and commitment to the conduct of foreign and domestic policy concerning defending christian ideals, and I still believe he is commited to this today. Regarding that particular matter, I could tell he was brutally honest about this commitment, which could have blown up in his face, but he says what he means and does what he says, I'll still give him credit for that, even though he has disappointed me on other issues since I voted for him. We haven't had a politician like this in a while.
I think he will come out squeeky clean in '08.
I also support him because he is our president and he needs our support. He is just a man, i bet if anyone met him, they would realize he is a good man, not perfect, but he tries. can we ask for more?
he's not a devil.
Barry, i hope we get a good repub candidate in '08 so we can all have our faith in the repub party restored. regardless of Bush, neither party impresses me that much anymore. Constitutional party then libertarian looks better than the two big ones today. hope there is a chance for the underdogs soon.
