I work for a company that sells these but haven't had any feedback from customers who use it. Has anyone had positive results with higher MPG with one of these? Any negative? Thanks for the input.

Ok this is just hypothesis from a 19 yr old (know it all right ?) but i think the whole tornado idea is just blowing smoke or something. Now from what I hear turbulence in the intake is counterproductive of power and mileage ? I would personally not purchase a tornado for any reason (power, mpg, etc) but i would instead focus on intake, ignition and exhaust. which I really did BTW. I installed a fenderwell intake designed for an 86-88 mustang with speed density off ebay for 50 dollars and picked up 2mpg (20-22). Then i installed a new disributor cap, rotor, wires and spark plugs as well 1mpg (22-23). After that my brother let me rob his wrecked mustang's exhaust system for 40 dollars. It consisted of bbk shorty headers,off-road x pipe and flowmaster cat-back. I installed all of it up to the mufflers where instead of getting fabbed exhaust or modifying the mustang design i got lazy and slapped on some elbows and straight "tailpipe" pipes that exit before the rear tires 2mpg (23-25). Which is as far as I will go. Now i understand you probably will not come across a used mustang exhaust system as cheap as i did or get a deal on an intake like myself either but just my .02 on the subject. Hope you get some more mpg's. My old man don't beleive the mileage i get with my "big 8" so he says .:steering

All common sense about combustion engines suggests that these things are just a sham to get your money, like so many other "as seen on TV" products. There are a few believers out there that will swear that there mileage has improved; I just cannot see it to be true.

the "Tornado"

I work for an auto parts store and we maybe sold two in the past 1 1/2 yrs.I personally don't know if they work or not.BUT,they do make spacers to add to your intake(bbk,Edelbrok, etc)that spin the air.So if the tornado doesnt work then neither would those devices.Me personally they are way to expensive at an average cost of $65.99 each. All they are is twisted stainless steel. If the company was to reduce the price I would probabaly try one (19.99).I have a customer that sweras by them and put one in each of trucks. He has a fleet of six.I can also say that the one's that did sell have not been returned.

According to Popular Science, not only do they not work, they actually reduce your gas mileage and lower your power output.

You may ask "How do they get away with making false claims ?"!! They do all of their tests in very closely controlled laboratory conditions, and Popular Science does thiers in real world conditions. I think that I would believe Popular Science.
