I got stuck last night in a small town with no "warranty service available" in that area. (this was a warranty I bought with my used 04 Aviator for $1625!) Anyway, what happened is I got in my car, my friends couldn't get in because their doors were still locked. I hit the door switch to unlock the rest of the car at the same time that my friend was pulling on the handle. The alarm went off so I think "What do I do now?" - I put the key in the ignition and the alarm goes off. Kewl I think BUT NOW the car refuses to start, it acts like the battery is dead and ???? I go through the book, do the steps to try to re-set the alarm (page 151 of my manual) and nada...nothing works and now it is really bad and I can't find anyone to help. Finally we got a jump start and it did start.

My question is after all of that is -- what should I have done differently?? I don't EVER want to be stuck like that again?
