resonator delete piping question

i want to delete my resonators and replace them with pipes but the pipes from the cats going into the resonators are 2 1/4 and the pipes exiting the resonators is 2 inches. how would i do that with out replacing my whole exhaust piping? do i buy 2 inch piping or 2 1/4 inch piping?

Go to a muffler shop and tell them what you want.

On my LS, before I did my custom exhaust, the pipes coming out of the cats were 2.25" and narrowed to 2" before they got to the resonators. Any exhaust shop should be able to do what you want for around $75-100.

They can easily make up that ¼" when welding the pipe in.

Or, hopefully, use a pipe expander or compressor to make a nicer transition.
