I want to take off my resonators, but dont know what they look like, do they look like this?, and I would like to know what purpose are the resonators for, and I need help finding the cats?.. If anyone could help thanks alot.

i had my resonator removed from midas wehn they were fixn my brakes. it sounds better wot and you can feel a differecnce. heres a pic of the resonators removed and replaced with straight pipes. its basically tru duals now there no h pipe anymore. i hope this help a little

i would say a little of both. off the line u can hear and feel it pretty good. at higher speeds u also fell some extra kick after doing this.

yes the resonators look like that - they follow the cats. resonators are to cancel the exhuast sound - so they do restrict the flow (and power) while dropping the noise level

the LS uses high-flow cats - look like this:

great, im going to have them removed and have the stock mufflers replaced with dynomax mufflers.. unless anyone else can point me in a better direction with mufflers..

its all personal preference, a few of us have posted sound bytes/movies to demo our different exhaust setups. My fav setup was when i choppyed my resonators and ran the car before i installed the strait pipes. Demonically Loud!!!
