Restoring Black Trim

I know there are a ton of different ideas about restoring black trim on a vehicle, from tire gel to WD-40 to shoe polish to the products specifically for trim. What has everyone used, and had success using? Preferably a solution that lasts as long as possible.

Mothers Back to Black seems to work pretty well for the price. After a couple applications it seems to retain its "new" look.

I've had good luck with Ultima Trim and Tire Guard. If it's really black, and has faded significantly, you may need to buy some black bumper dye to restore it.

Yes because the PBW Trim Restorer is cleaner and protectant, however the TUF SHINE product will actually add the black color back to the trim. Both work great just different products.
