Hello , new member here , reaquired an old friend recently , a 96 LSC . I broke the passenger side door handle last nite after washing the car , it must have frozen . Has anyone had this problem ? Is it expensive to replace & are the parts even available ?

Welcome to the site! Yes, parts are available. Max at 5-star Ford (ad on the left side here) has them. But call a local body shop first and ask them how much to fix it cause it aint easy to do.

Thanks Kbob for the welcome and the advice . I'll have the local Ford dealer look at it , they've got a good body shop .

Had the handle replaced at the local Ford dealer , total cost $320 can , door handle $97 can .

I got mine fixed at the dealer for 180.00 dollars. the paint matched perfect.

Hmmm , $180 US vs $320 CAN , guess there's a big difference in shop hourly rates between the USA and Canada .

.
