Roll odometer forward

I have tried looking for information not just on the mark viii but other cars. Some research says messing with the odometer will cause damage and there are devices built-in to avoid changing of mileage. Others say use a drill. Has anyone actually forwarded their odometer on here? My car has a gauge with 100k when really it has 200k. I know how to pull the gauge cluster but no idea on how to forward the odometer. Anyone here who has done this? Car is a 93, not the digital gen two gauge.

Or look on eBay for another cluster with mileage that's real close to what you're looking for and swap them.

I did take one apart a few years ago and wound it to where I wanted it but it was difficult without breaking something. Still haven't tested it though.

That's a first. I never heard of anybody turning milage forward, it's always backward. Try and trade it with someone that has one with about 200K. Nice looking car for 200K miles
