Rotors

I have no expereince with those rotors. But I would not get them cross drilled they are very prone to cracking. I personaly like slotted and dimmpled rotors it will have less stress than the drilled rotors.

They would look and perform good but with a silver LS, I would consider getting black slotted rotors and paint your calipers red. Now that would really demand a lot of attention.

You pay for what you get. That just been my experience.

If I remember correctly gray said that when he changed his after a year from drilled/slotted to the big brake kit he thought that they were worped.
I'm not saying dont use them. Just putting in my thoughts since you can get dimpled\slotted for 70 dollars more. Hey to each his own. :Beer

Well I am looking for the creme de la creme brake rotor/pad combonations for PURE PERFORMANCE on my 01 LS. I have been told Hawk brand is the best for front brakes only, or that they should be drilled/slotted or that they shouldn't due to potential cracking etc. etc.. I just want to know exactly what brand for both front/rear break pads AND rotors IS REALLY THE BEST for the LS. Also very helpful if one could provide a link to where one could find the products. Thanks in advance...

Oh, by the way, I'm not looking to spend more than $600.00 for both front/back brakes (rotors & pads) combined, so I may not get the creme de la creme---but it is still nice to know!!

well - to set your expectations.....

the creme de la creme - StopTech is $5,200 - http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showthread.php?t=7727&highlight=stoptech

so your $600 is way short.

I run:
• CC Rotorworks drilled and slotted rotors
• Porterfield Racing Dustless Pads (carbon kevlar R4-S High Performance Street and Autocross)
• StopTech Stainless Steel brake lines
• Dot4 - 446 degree brake fluid
• Brake cooling vents in lower grill (NACA Vents, aluminum brake spindle hose mount, Neoprene Duct Hose)

it would be right around $600....

You don't need drilled or slotted rotors! Frankly, drilled rotors provide nothing more than the "Bling/Bling" effect! Ford heavy duty brake fluid in the blue bottle is great fluid. Get Brembo rotors from Tire Rack.
