Hi,when I get on it[2003 ls v8 sport]for more than a few seconds sometimes theres a smell, sulpher i'm sure.Is my cat. converter clogged, going out or what?No trouble lights and it seems to run fine, anyone know whats going on?

I've only smelled that a couple of times when my A/C was on full blast, but now that I recall i've not smelled it in a long time..

NO DOUBT... Cats... There is a solution. Goto a car parts place...
Look by the injector cleaners and oil additives. There shoud be a
product called Cat Deodorizer... Dump this in your tank and get on it
a few times while your running on that take... FUN!!! But it will work!

I got that for the first time today too, thought it was from the AC cause I had it blasting.

Wats up my 03 ls v8 has been stinkin like eggs for the last week. I been hearin to replace my cats but I read on a forum that emmisions parts are warranty 8 years 80,000 miles. Anyone hear of that warranty?? Let me kno ne advice thanx

HOLY THREAD REVIVAL!!!

Depends when your car was manufactured, but the emissions are warrantied longer than the rest of the car; check your owner's manual.

Usually cats that smell like rotten eggs are cats that haven't heated up to operating temp. If it makes this smell continuously... there stands a chance the problem is more involved than just the cats. But anyway, the dealership will look into it if you take it in.

Cat Deoderizer?? I've seen that stuff at Petco and Walmart!!!

Go to Ford's genuine Service site ( http://www.genuineservice.com/genuineservice/en/default?page=Home ). On the left-side menu is an entry for Warranty; you can use that to get the Warranty Guide for your car. It has the details of the Federal emissions warranties.

has anyone ever ran ther car with no cat. converters??????
