Hi All,
I have a 2004 lincoln Aviator and am having a rough idle ( almost sounds like one of my diesels. I changed all of the plugs and coils. Previously I had a misfire in 6&8, but the new coils cleared the code and it drives fine just rough idle. Here is what I have done so far:
Compression test on all cylinders - Two of them (driver side) seemed lower then the others but according to the ALL Data TSB are within 75% of each other (barely) ALL at or above 148
leak test - No signs of leaking
New plugs, coils
Replaced a few vacuum hoses
Ran fuel cleared
Ran throttle body cleaner
Two issues I noticed:
I noticed a ticking noise up top which sounds like to me a timing chain or lifter.
Oil was found in some of the spark plug locations.
Can you help point me to the next direction? It seems to drive fine
