I just bought my Mark VIII about a month ago and have been frequently visiting looking for a solution to a running motor. its only at low rpm's that it does this. i had a friend run the codes on the car and came up with low mass airflow voltage. ive tried cleaning the mass airflow but still runs goofy. i changed oil, sparkplugs, cleaned off all the plug connections still no luck. due to this i have had the car sitting. but i have looked into IAC but havent had the chance to rip it apart yet. really the only problem is at low idle it kinda stumbles other than that great pickup and everything. plenty of power. just wanted to know if anyone has or had the same problem i am. i only paid $700 for the car knowing that it was messed up but really wanna start driving the car at 100%

Check fuel pressure.

You may even want to think about changing the MAF if your getting a code for it.

for $700 your a lucky duck if thats all you gotta solve!

as always with these cars replace the plug wires. this a main cause of rough low rpm idle. and check TPS voltage as well. and like 94m5 said, check fuel pressure and your mass air sensor may need replaced. good luck.

Ron, just get a MAF, the one on ebay was only for the housing, I will check in to the varible engine control module, I think thats what came up on the scanner as well, this guy is opening a junkyard and he has 2 lincoln mark 8s already. maybe tuesday we can check it out, also I will give ya 1200 for it

im good on the offer but for sure if you wanna run to the junkyard tuesday thats cool.
