The unibody specifically the Body mount trailing arm and upper rear A arm mounts need replaced is this an expensive repair I paid 2,500 for the car and other than that it has no issues should I fix it or drive its till it breaks?

Anyone have any advice at all the car is immaculate inside and out in don't wanna get ride of it.

I would burn it to the ground solely based on that grille.

Are you talking about these two parts? (Best pic I could find)

Depends on how rusty they are. Both pieces are pretty thick, so unless they're noticeably thin or have developed holes I wouldn't worry much about it. What I would do is clean them up as well as you can and apply a coat of rust resilient paint to help slow it down. Pics would help.

It's weird, but my passenger side irs mount and rear uca are relatively rust free while both on the drivers side are crusty but still plenty solid.

And I agree with Unity..

None of the suspension touches the unibody in back.
So whatever is rusted unbolt it and replace with good parts.

Idk if those are the parts but 2 mechanic said it's not safe to drive here's all the pics of the unibody I have but the parts he showed me were rust and flaking

Also I hate the grille too but my car came with that grille I plan on getting a different one once my frame is fixed

Now that I think about yes those are the exact parts that are bad and yes they are very rusted 1 mechanic wanted to charge me $5,000 just for the mechanical repairs not even including the unibody because he didn't do that kind of work and he wouldn't even work on it because of how bad it was and my new mechanic is my friends uncle and he said that in all honesty would not feel safe letting me take it off a lot but he said it could last for the life of the car or I could not I'll try to take some pictures and post them

Frame brcs done.jpgRear Bkt.jpgI had to change the frame brackets on my 95. Left side rusted away,(right where sunroof drains). Just 3 bolts, but the big bolt is special, and might want to spin, and not come out. I have an easy fix for that, if you have a problem.

I've done the left one which was real bad. Somehow my right one is pretty good. This in Canada where they salt the roads. I'll do the right one in a month or so, when I tidy up my baby for the road this summer.

Rear Bkts hole.jpgRear bkt patch.jpgRear Bkt Unct.jpgInside where the nut is, (sealed area) there is a square metal piece that holds the nut from turning. I drilled 2 holes, and with a long punch, I nailed it twice to tighten it up. (see the punch marks). This kept the nut from turning. Patched the hole, sealed, and undercoated.

I think that whole area is sealed. I read where some have cut large wholes in the trunk, and welded through the hole. Drill a couple holes, no mess, or fire, and easy patch. I did this after the left side came out and was easy.

Mine were rusted Bad/Bad...I let them go (theirs still a bolt there), never had a problem! Leave them go, it's only a $2500 car. You did good. The support is just a preventive measure. I had my car for 16 years and never had a problem from them. Your gonna have many problems before they gives up. Drive it and don't worry.

I've seen much worse rust. Your mechanics are BSing you for money or he doesn't know what he's talking about. Could go either way with the vast majority of mechanics out there. It's perfectly fine to drive. Can't imagine that the ball joints are very far from failing though.

However I don't think I could suck it up enough to drive with that grille. That's more embarrassing than having to drive a Ford Tempo.

I had my left one rust right out. It was completely disconnected from the big bolt, rusted away. The rear gets weird at that point, replacing it made it like it was before it rusted out.

Recommended.
