ok, i was looking at the jaguar website and noticed that the door panels on the s-type look as though they might fit the ls, does anyone know if they will or am i just dreaming?

nevermind i just checked it out... it looks the same shape, but the clips behind it are prolly different on the LS, and the plugs to make the windows or doors work are prolly also different, so i doubt a swap would be possible... would be cool tho, those panels look nice

They will probably fit, but I don't think that they will "talk" to the dash or the overall colors of the interior. But if you find the close color it might me very nice, cuz the LS panels are far from being beautiful.
Just by looking I don't think the rear panel would fit right the Jags seem to have a bit more arch to the rears....But if it works I think it would be a great swap the LS's door panels need some help....

the inner door structures are different as are the type of retaining clips used, it might be close but I dont think they will work.

You are kidding, right?? The creases in the doors will definitely not line up. Especiallu as the LS doesn't have any creases.

You can put on 03 and up LS panels, but the jag ones are still nicer.

OR you could just trade in your LS for an S-Type.

ahh, but i like that "Coke bottle" shape of the LS, yes, i had noticed that before. i think the LS looks much better on the outside than the Jag, but the British know how to do an interior
since we're talking s-type my buddy is looking to buy one used and I've been driving a few with him. They also got a major redesign for 03 (engine and interior). lets just say the 2 02's we drove were crap (IMO). plain interiors, absolutely ZERO power (feel sorry for the pre-03 V6 crowd out there), etc. The 2 03's we drove (1 v6 and 1 v8) were totally different cars than the 02's. the interiors were fabulous and a significant increase in power. what's interesting is we all talk about how different the LS vs. SType is but there are so many similarities. what I really found interesting was how the 03 s-types got a bunch of the same upgrades as the 03 ls (elec. e brake, revised cupholders, etc). anyhow just my opinion....

Yea the 03-04 Jag has a beauriful interior, the center console is very nice. But the last one 05-06, have you seen the instrument panel? That's just guorgeous, only for that thing I would like to trade my LS.

yo Artur, how you know you could fit 03+ door panels in the older LS's?? would it "talk" to the car and everything still work? the push in pins would all line up as well?? if so, that would be hott... prolly too much money tho

let me know if you go thru with the 03+ door panels Dave... that would be a hott switch, would prolly cost you an arm and a leg for brand new ones tho and used ones on the 03+'s are hard to find...
