Saddam Capture Fabricated??

What would be the advantage in faking Saddam's capture?
 
It seems to me that talking about how you had to go into a house and get Saddam after he shot at you would have made a better story to Americans. It would be like watching COPS. The only advantage of the hole story would be to belittle him... Nevermind, I've already lost intrest.
 
YEP! sadam was never captured...( i didnt read it, just thought the title was silly)

From AP Dec 13th, 2003:
Iraq, Dec 14 - Saddam Hussein was captured in an underground "crawlspace" near his northern hometown of Tikrit on Saturday, the US army announced Sunday.

Soldiers captured him without incident," the army's 4th Infantry Division (4th ID) said in a statement.

"Two other people were captured with Hussein and soldiers confiscated approximately 750,000 in US currency," the statement said.
