I just bought a sirius s50 and i hate the sound that i get from the FM modulated signal!!! I have a 2003 ls with the thx nav system in it, is there anyother way to hardwire the unit?

I believe that you can get an adapter to plug into your stock radio...P.I.E. would be the one....Ii have an s-50 and a indash touch screen and have no problem with sound.....I putt the radio on 87.1 and good to go....I am pretty impressed with the sound quality actually..... I can offer two tips...How far is it from the radio....and I know the S-50 came with a wire that you can hook up to the car's antenna that would help also...Good luck I know you will love it....

same thing for the mp3 player.....you can plug it in there also....

There should have been with a little wire with a plug in it short and coiled up....I can post a pic later....IIRC you strip the wire alittle and it hooks up around your car antenna....It plugs into the back of s-50 it is the last plug on the end (next to the power plug)....

if you have the THX NAV it is already serrius ready all you need is the receaver and the adapter, you can get that from ford. im going to find the link that has that info, it is also in the cars manual.

the dealer can install it for you, but i would suggest going to the dealer and asking them what you need to install and have it done somewhare else for cheaper.

thats for a 2006 not a 2003

actually thats for any lincoln LS from 2003 to 2006 that has the THX NAV -- the only difference of a 2003 and 2006 is that 2006 has the LSE package and thats it.... the NAV is the same.

on 03 you'll need to get the radio reflashed first to support the sat receiver

the dealer does it - they give you the software update that turns the FM2 button to SAT1 and you can toggle the fm1 button to fm2 and fm1 so you wont lose the 16 channel presets - all this is done from the dealership -- TODDG has this done on his LS so ask him he can give you more details -- there is more info on this thread http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showthread.php?t=21210
