I think it'll be guilty - but I think he'll win on appeal. It sounds like the Judge got rid of the "Not Guilty" voting jurors - which is bogus.

THis is almost guaranteed to be won on appeal.
The removal of several jurors -- all viewed to be defense witnesses -- being just one cause ---
The other being the split verdict. the difference between first and second degree is premeditation. How could he have premediatated the muder of laci and not connor? It isnt possible. Also - one critical point - it was never proven she was murdered. Her cause of death was never proven -- I see it as an almost absolute overturn on appeal.
Before I get flamed - I didnt say I dont think he did it..... I am only looking at the legalities --

Why any finding on Connor at all? Shouldn't that just be considered a late-term partial-birth abortion? I mean, it's obvious the jury couldn't find 1st degree for the baby because that would be like admitting that an in-utero baby might be a real human being after all, and not just some fetal tissue, prime for stem cell research.
It's not like Scott knew that killing the baby also would free up some extra cash flow because he wouldn't have to pay child support for 18 years. I'm sure that never entered his sick mind.

LOL -- Im ONLY looking at the legalities - He will appeal and will win the appeal - THat doesnt mean he is innocent- But there will be another trial. Mark my words. The judge made TOO many mistakes in the trial --

I don't think so. Depends on the transcript of the lawyer who wanted out. Now, letting go the other guy for doing his own investigation is another matter, and this is the guy who said he would have hung the jury. I think he was a paid insider, personally.
So, no new trial is my guess. 5-1/2 months was 5 months longer than Scott deserved in the first place.

Something else that needs to be done, is not to put him in a "protective fishbowl" when they lock the bass-turd up and let his weasely little a$$ run with the "dogs" like as was done with Gagun and Dahmer. Let the prisoners deal with him!
