just a couple questions about the SCT x3... i noticed on a couple videos that the Lincoln LS's are losings traction off the line after the sct tunes... is this true.. mine wouldn't spin if i tried... is the tune that big of a difference... also does it shift normal in D5 D4 and hard in sst to chirp the tires...

thanks in advance... did a little searching and found nothing

the best we got was 22rwhp increase - but of course that depends on your car with your bolt-on mods. is 22hp that big of a difference? well sort-of....

you can have the shift points altered (in auto mode) and the line pressure increased (to firm up shifts) - if that is what you want.

do you believe and extra 22hp/19ft-lbs will make that much of a difference?

no tune turns your LS into a tire smoking, can't stick to the road, tire burner.

That said - the SCT is the best $ per performance gain you can get.

mine has no traction problems at all now and most of the Lincoln youtube videos i have seen with SCT tunes all spin the tires out of the hole..
thats way im asking.........

you think maybe that they 'try' to spin their wheel for the camera?

:shocker:

You'll notice firmer, faster shifts. Like Quik said, you can increase the line pressure to where it'll chirp the tires a little bit, but all that does is slow ya down.

it seems they just hit the throttle from a dead stop and half way through first gear rev it spins the tire...

Lots of things play into that. The tune adds some power, but maybe their tires like to slip.. I know my stock michilens did all the time, I once did a 30 foot burnout infront of my house. but pavement was cold. on a hot day the tires could hook right up. My new Coopers are like Glue. I can barely chirp the tires at a light. Of course I am a mile higher in altitude than I used to be so that has an effect too. What I'm saying is its not just the tune.

no tune...

LOL, but intentional

mine shifted like that stock but seems to have softened up a little with 93k on the clock. you can adjust shift points and firmness on top of the tune if you ask for it and accept the risks.
there is a noticable difference in power with the tune!

(oh btw played with the launch speed and 2500 is a little better than 1100, but could not tell how it affected the rest of the 1/4 since i was in a parking lot)

yea but the guy with the long ass name ls24@97520884312 whatever his name is... was saying the RPM at 2500 was hurting his 60'..... I thin it wsa him... i know someone on here said it..

RRRRrrr... its me one tire fire!

Since I regapped to 0.033" on the plugs a lot more top end power find myself losing traction in the top end less than ideal circumstances.. :D Down low I couldn't spin anymore unless I brake her first.

Can't wait to get the cutouts open so I can really really feel that top end!

Ummm... gapping the plugs at .033 is not going to increase your top end power. In fact, the wider the gap the better until the point where you start misfiring.
