So I seafoamed my car today and I got to tell you that :q:q:q:q is amazing. Im gonna do it again because the smoke was so thick I couldn't even see the side of the house from it and the back of my car just vanished. I had two injectors that was not firing right for I dont know how long before I bought the car. I replaced those and seafoamed it 3 weeks later. It made a believer out of me. I cant believe the difference in the car now. It feels like it picked up another 25+ lbs ft. and I dont even know how much hp. I did use half the can at first and it smoked only a tiny bit. I waited a while and did the rest and wow. I put a can in my tank two days ago as well.

They have a New Spray tube for air intakes and MAF sensors:

I'd like to give that a shot to but they didn't have it at my auto parts store. And as nice as the write up is im not absolutely sure how to use it on my 93. I see 3 different ways on here and it's got me all confused. I was thinking okay I would just need to introduce it into the air intake somewhere after the filter and that's it but now Im not so sure. I see that I would have to install it somewhere near 12 onto the throttle body but the was the Gen 1 is made that would be hard to do if you have to put the intake tube back on after setting up the seafoam tube placement.

Idiot free methods: fuel: remove fuel cap down the filler neck into the tank.(usually 1\4 to half can)
oil: remove filler cap pour into crankcase.(usually 1\4 to half can)

Little bit more knowledge: remove vaccum line going into the intake and use small cup to pour 1\2 or 3\4 of a can into it. then start car keep rpms up and use the vaccum line to suck up the seafoam. turn the car off and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes. reinstall vaccum line and start car up. OR you can use the pcv valve to suck up.

Pain in the a$$(with seafoam intake spray): remove air breather from intake and with the engine running or not(your choice) open and close the butterfly while spraying can inside to remove gunk.

is there a ratio for fuel to seafoam, like 1/4 can to 1/4 tank of gas?

I just tried the spray can into the pcv, there's no smoke, absolutly none...so I sprayed some into the oil filler hole, bout 1/4 of the can, guess I'll spray the rest in the gas tank

You need to use the liquid not the spray for the pcv method not the spray. With car off I pulled the pcv hose off the pcv valve hooked up a smaller tube into the pcv tube and started the engine I then checked for good suction. I then just placed the hose into the bottle and let it slowly suck up the seafoam. It's like skimming the top of pop with a straw your pulling in seafoam and air. I only had the car almost die on me once when I slipped and the hose when to far into the seafoam i pulled it back and it was okay. Like I said I did the whole bottle first half ran car for 20 mins then reved between 2,000 and 3,000rpm and very very little smoke. I used the other half of the car about 2hours later and did it the exact same way. WOW the smoke poured out.

I got the spray because it was a 16oz bottle instead of 12oz for 40c more...I sprayed a little in every vacuum port, including just removing the intake tube and sprayed it in the rear vacuum hole in the throttle body..and the brake booster vac hose, pcv, gas tank, and valve cover oil cap hole...I got no smoke, Mosquitos are happy and free...

I'll grab another bottle and try the non-spray

even tho I got no smoke, car seems to be running much better

white/light blue... by all means let them know you will be doing this. you dont want the FD pulling up!!! theres a lot of smoke. night time seafoaming is another viable possibility...

LOL - ill tell security at the front - my neighbors can eat dic.k

How long does it smoke for?

you need to keep it revved to from idle to 4000 rpm for 5 min minimum...its toxic so be careful with smoke...dont say i didnt warn you...

Wait.. keep it at 40000RPM, or keep revving it for a few seconds at a time for 5 minutes?

Mine smoked for about 2 minutes then another 5 or so when I reved it. The smoke was really thick and white. It smoke just a bit when i drove it but nothing more than about 1 minute. I can't wait to do the intake treatment. I did this at about 2am and being as im in the country the smoke wasn't an issue. I found it personally easier not to pour but to let it suck it up as pouring it could lead to spilling it and it isn't cheap in my book. It was $10 for 1 pint or 16oz however you want to look at it.

a few secs at a time. ok, im done post whoreing.

Rev it up and keep it there for a few seconds idle back down and when smoke clears up some repeat till you are getting very little or no smoke. I drove mine after about 30minutes. Drove hard but not real hard took first up to about 4 grand quickly before shifting to second and taking that up to about the same. I did that for about 10 minutes. I really cant believe the difference.

The spray is only for intake. I.e. Throttle body cleaner...the liquid is the best thing to use to make it smoke...and gated community would be know good take it to a parking lot with the tools you need.

I just seafoamed - I went to a parking lot down the street cause I live on an island surrounded by stuck up rich folk who would panic if they saw smoke and if the fire department came I'd be fined hardcore.

I went to the lot, sucked in a whole can - stupid me forgot to put the PCV back in while doing it, but whatever. Turned off the engine, and put the hose back on. Waited 5-10 then started, it barely turned over and stalled... WTF!

I tried again, it was bogging down.. I literally felt like my engine was full of soap suds.. It was tough getting it above 2 grand, but man... the rocking scared the :q:q:q:q out of me.. I was like "FAHK, they got me.. Bye Bye Mark :("

After a few min I was choking on smoke that was blowing back over... The entire block was a white cloud, people staring on the phone, probably calling the police... After like 5 minutes of revving and what not, once the smoke died down I drove up the street... bringing it to 5 grand and what not, clearing out the exhaust and :q:q:q:q.. and man, My engine sounds and feels much happier.

I came back down the street, only to find one lonely cop patrolling the lot :D

Damn man most guys don't use a whole can. Ive always used half can on vacuum lines 1\4 in fuel tank and 1\4 in oil. but glad your happy. i remember when i first did the girls ex-chevy, took it to her aunts farm and did it waited 10 minutes and damn...rev it up and its great then take it for a rip and the car was running great...until she got tboned...miss that sh!t box

Ya I was gonna do 1/2 and the other half in the tank but Sapperfire said just to go for the whole thing since I'm
not a fan of adding shi t into the gas tank. Car loves me now plus it was on sale for 7.99

well accually seafoam in the tank is awsome i knew a guy with a chev 5.7...had a float problem with the sending unit used that and his fuel gauge never let him down since.
