Eh. The ass warmers still work even through the seat covers. And I figure they'll protect that "leather" on the seats a little better. Ford's using some cheesy arse leather on their Lariat models.

I'm thinking that seat covers are easier to wash than seats.

+1, do yours have the perforated seats? they are a bitch to clean and condition, crap gets stuck in the holes, i had to use a vac to get it all out

Nah. Solid surface leather. It's bad enough I have perforated leather in three cars of my four cars.
