For Sale Seeking compatible engine coolant tank for 1994 Lincoln Continental Executive

The engine coolant recovery tank for my 1994 Lincoln Continental Executive has a large crack. I am seeking a compatible replacement, as it is a discontinued part. It is ford Part #F1OY8A080A (also listed as simply 8A080). For what it is worth, the plastic of the tank itself is labeled F15E-80045-AA.

I believe all 3.8L Lincolns from 1988-1994 used this tank. If anybody has one (or another compatible tank) I sure would be excited to hear from you!

Head over to www.car-part.com and look up your car, should be able to find a wrecking yard near by you that has a couple.

Have you checked all the parts stores for an aftermarket one? You can also repair that one with plastic weld. Its like epoxy. Has to be very clean and rough the surface with some sand paper. Advance sells the stuff. Make sure its the Permatex brand and mix the two parts at equal amounts. I've even used my plastic welder to fix these at the shop. Good luck

Thanks, I was able to find a couple of places in my state (FL) that appear to have the part I need. I have patched the crack in the meantime, but it is great to know I don't have to roam from junkyard to junkyard in search of my reservoir holy grail. Appreciate the tip!

Appreciate the tip. I had actually just finished applying another permatex product to the crack when I saw your post. I went with their "RTV Silicone Adhesive Sealant", since it said it resistant to weather, high temp, grease, dirt, etc... It might not be as strong as what you suggested, so I'll have to see. It does appear to be curing nicely, but I'll have to test it and see if it holds up. I did find the product you suggested so I'll probably pick up a pack if I need to re-do the job. Thanks for the suggestion, it is just the type of info I was looking for.
