I've got an '02 LSE with Select Shift and I can't get my tranni into first gear using the SS. Does anyone know how to make this happen? I'm hoping that there is some way to override this 2nd gear start.

But after researching them and espically comparing the speed vs a stang for price found it to not be worth it. I think the year of ls i looked at was something liek 7 0-60 vs 5.5 for a stang gt. I think with my tune new rear end gears electric waterpump over drives i'm close to if not better than that. As I can outrun a 5.9 rs dakota just bearly and stomp a cadi escalade pickup (ext). Hopefully they start to let it run as I really like the look and handling of the LS.

if you keep the rear wheels moving - it'll stay in first - so to lay long black marks on the road - blip it to get into 1st then hit the gas with some brake. let off once your wallet is light enough.
Quik LS said:once your throttle goes past 60% it will downshift automatically. Once it downshifts you can hold it there - so I usually blip the throttle and roll a foot.
Once you come to a complete stop it'll upshift into 2nd again.

eL eS said:I like the sst becasue i can keep the gear I am in and control the power better through cornering. Aside from that I think it is useless.
