But you will when you open your hood. The biggest difference in the teo would be the intake tube. The knn has it's own tube unlike the kkn which uses the stock intake, knn tube is less restrictive.
I just put my KKM back on, usually don't use it during the winter. I don't notice anything like that with mine. In fact, if anything, mine seems to make the car run smoother all around.
When I first installed my intake I noticed a sharp decline in power/performance etc. Popped the hood and realized I didn't connect the MAF wire. Make sure everything is connected and secure and that the filter is clean and lubricated.
