so I figured I'd post this rant and maybe someone can chime in on what I am doing wrong or maybe they had the same results.

I've been parting out my mark on ebay for a year now, and just about all parts sold but should've gotten more money. like I'll do research on e-bay for mark 8 parts to see what sells, how many people bid, how much its going for etc.. then I post my parts with the theory that if nobody wins what they were bidding they'd bid on my item. I am totally wrong. I don't have crazy ammountys of feedback I think I have like 31 in 4 years. but they are all positive, none are neg.

Heres an example, I have 2 items on ebay now well over in 2 hours, the front chrome strip and the 10 disc cd changer. so right now only 1 person put a bid on the cd changer for 40 buck and nobody put a bid on the chrome strip. However last week on 2 other auctions on ebay the cd changer sold for $150 with 13 bids and the chrome sold for around $80 with like 10 bids, what happened to those other 20 or so people that wanted the stuff???

Another example for like a year I was looking on e-bay for the newer hvac controls and the bids were crazy, seemed everyone wanted the buttons that didn't crack so I've seen some sold for over $150 with lots of bids. I've never seen 1 not sell on ebay.. I didnt wanna pay that much so I bought new. used it for a few months then my car got wrecked.. so I posted mine on e-bay for a very reasonable price and NOBODY placed a bid on it.. I put it up 3 times and nothing at all. so I finally sold it to someone on the other board. This is starting to piss me off.

Are you posting them in the correct areas?

But I know what you are saying. It seems when I am looking for something the thing is hot and everyone is bidding.

When I try to sell what seemed to be a hot item can't get nothing for it.

eBay is funny that way.

Yea its in the correct area, they have the sub catorgies(sp?) so Its in the right spot and I put everything I need to in the header so if someone wanted to search for it they can.

I've been pretty successful on eBay and I find that the more I write in the way of desriptions, the better results I have. I've gotten to point at times of writing novellas, but it always seems to pay off in the long run.
