been thinking bout selling the LS, and buying a newer one..maybe! However, I am not sure if I should just keep it and fix it because one headlight leaks, the headliner has fell, got a lugnut broke off, the AC works funny (the ac button is reset everytime you cut it on). In other words, would it be smarter economically to fix that stuff and put rims and what not on it, or would selling that one and buying a newer version (with clear headlights and less bugs..)! I am not trying to spend more than a few grand difference (besides rims and stereo).. can it happen? or should I just get all this stuff fixed and keep it forever since I have the title..

fix it man, that sounds like some minimul stuff you have wrong with it. Headlights, not a bid deal follow the tutorial on how to take them apart, clean them and then remove the orange corner lens and put silver star bulbs in the corners, you will be amazed at how much that picks up your front end. We used to do lugs at the tire shop I worked at all the time, I am not sure if it is a harder task on the ls or not, but all the cars I have don't have been to bad at all. Headliner, I have done one in my volvo, it was pain in the ass, but it only cost me about $50 worth of materieals. I am sure you can find someone else to do it for about $300. Whatdo you mean by the ac button is reset?

If I had the title, I don't think I'd trade. Unless you have an obscene amount of miles on you car. You never said what year it was and don't have any information about it in your profile, but out of these four things you've mentioned, the a/c is the only one that might give you some problems when fixing. Defiantly wouldn't amount to the hit you'd take on the car when trading for a newer one, plus no more title unless you've got the $$ to buy straight out. I'd say start shopping for some rims and a stereo if your good with all the other features your car has.

Take that 3-4 hundo that you would spend in a payment on a newer car and dump it into a money market checking or savings account. Have it direct deposited from your paycheck. Then, if something breaks. Fix it from that fund. I am 99.99% sure that you'll come out ahead over a 3 year note on another car and the depretiation on that car.

sell

well its a 2000 V8, w/ 90K miles. The reason I was asking was because I don't know much about the life of these cars and I really can't do much work on a car, don't ask me why, just never had the touch. I love maintaining my car, but it seems that every time I try and polish it, or add something like eyebrows, then I end up having a new scratch or glue marks (the eyebrows wouldn't stick , and yes they were clean before application). I will have to pay to get all this done, but I think you guys are right about keeping it, There is just so much that I won't to do to this one.
