its been raining here hard for 2 days and storms coming on shore from the gulf due to a cold front coming through but this weather is unlike anything they said they have on record as a cold front in florida. we had 3 tornadoes in my area today, one came ashore in spring hill and moved east towards brooksville, another tornado came across palm harbor and went east towards oldsmar which is right here where i live, but no damage around my neighborhood thank god, and a third tornado came across indian shores beach and headed east across tampa bay and hit the macdill area of south tampa, interbay and bay to bay blocks in tampa have severe damage and power lines down everywhere, there is just serious damage all over tampa bay, i dont even know ho i made it to work this morning, a semi truck was blown over onto a car as they both travelled across the howard frankland bridge in tampa. it was absolutely insane.
my shop was about 6 inches higher than the water in the loading dock, we moved everything in my shop to higher ground but thankfully the water never made it inside. the whole shop parking lot and both loading docks are just a huge pond right now, i couldnt get there in my car, my buddy at work brought me over in his lifted 3500 dually. the street to my shop was so flooded it claimed 9 cars today all had to be ripped out on a hook, one is an f-150 that is burried it is still sitting there with water inside it.
there has been thunder for 26 hours straight and over 13,000 lightning strikes since yesterday morning. thank god its all over, the rain is gone, its cooling down, and tomorrow they say mid 70's and all sunshine. unreal there is so much devestation i feel sorry for the people who lost their homes and cars. no reported deaths. here are some pictures its horrible.

lol florida? what does that mean, it was just a freak storm, this doesnt happen, i mean, it could have been a tsunami, or an earthquake right? things that dont happen here, i dont know why everyone thinks so much bad stuff happens here, like all the hurricanes that have hit us in the last 5 years too right, like none?

Don't mind Pete. He's "special."
The storm was pretty intense today.

i said lol florida cause I say "lol florida" cause here in WA, we just get bad rain :-D

I love tornado weather... but I am from Kansas.

this was just a stalled freak cold front this kind of stuff doesnt happen here because of a thunder storm, usually thunderstorms just make alot of rain real fast here, and you get severe lightning, and 20 minutes later its sunny out again, but this was too early in the year they said for this to happen, and it hasnt happend in many years, it was pretty wild! it was like hurricane damage, without the hurricane.

lol yeah that marquis more than likely didnt drive out of that :shifty:

glad your alright, tornadoes are no joke

hope you came out ok. now u,ll have some repair work just be on your toes and clear of electric lines a shorted cords.

yup! I'll take 30+ inches of snow up here in the northeast than have to worry if my house will still be there when I get home:D just bust'n em jamie! All that damage really sucks!

i hadf no damage those are just pics all around the bay area, but we almost lost everything in my shop again, well, not lost it but it would have floated away. i took pics of the water at my shop, i'll upload from my phone and save them. when i see water 4 inches from the floor of my shop i get worried, happened last summer, and again this time, i heard it has been inside the shops before but i dont want to see it.

this is the road to my shop, this usually happens anytime it rains hard, but this was the worst, about 300 feet long and about 30 inches deep in the middle, the truck in the distance was an f-150 that was just burried!

the parking lot coming in, this was about a foot deep, its the highest part of the parking lot

that is my shop wall, this is the loading dock, right where the metal meets the concrete is what i was worried about, because if the water made it to that seam, my office would have been flooded, the carpet and drywall would have been toast, this loading dock is just over 4 feet deep. there is a dual axle car trailer sitting under the water.
