its been raining here hard for 2 days and storms coming on shore from the gulf due to a cold front coming through but this weather is unlike anything they said they have on record as a cold front in florida. we had 3 tornadoes in my area today, one came ashore in spring hill and moved east towards brooksville, another tornado came across palm harbor and went east towards oldsmar which is right here where i live, but no damage around my neighborhood thank god, and a third tornado came across indian shores beach and headed east across tampa bay and hit the macdill area of south tampa, interbay and bay to bay blocks in tampa have severe damage and power lines down everywhere, there is just serious damage all over tampa bay, i dont even know ho i made it to work this morning, a semi truck was blown over onto a car as they both travelled across the howard frankland bridge in tampa. it was absolutely insane.
my shop was about 6 inches higher than the water in the loading dock, we moved everything in my shop to higher ground but thankfully the water never made it inside. the whole shop parking lot and both loading docks are just a huge pond right now, i couldnt get there in my car, my buddy at work brought me over in his lifted 3500 dually. the street to my shop was so flooded it claimed 9 cars today all had to be ripped out on a hook, one is an f-150 that is burried it is still sitting there with water inside it.
there has been thunder for 26 hours straight and over 13,000 lightning strikes since yesterday morning. thank god its all over, the rain is gone, its cooling down, and tomorrow they say mid 70's and all sunshine. unreal there is so much devestation i feel sorry for the people who lost their homes and cars. no reported deaths. here are some pictures its horrible.
this picture next is actually taken randomly, someone sent it to the news channel, but, the building on the very left of the picture is northern tool, well my work is on the other side of northern tool, i just happend to see this pic and new instantly where it was taken
