SHAG'S Election Prediction Thread

Don't get too giddy.

On the other hand, these numbers mean the media and the Obama team (as if there's a difference) will become more desperate as the election draws near. I look forward to more gaffes and more incendiary language.

"Hey, Sarah Palin once went through the drivethrough at McDonald's and didn't even return her unused ketchup packets!"

I believe it will be a land side - in the house and the Senate...

I'm on the record here I believe at 53%-45%.

Reagan won back in 1980 with 50.7% to 41.0%. The Electoral college was a wipe out, 489 to 49 with Reagan winning 44 states.

I don't see the same electoral victory but I do see a significant, call it landslide 8 point win for McCain, not because McCain is another Reagan, rather Obama is another Dukakis.

The fact that McCain is up at this juncture is historical in itself. Republicans typically do 3-4% better at the polls come election day vs what the Mainstream Media had predicted. However, the dark horses of the youth vote and the crookedness of the falsified registrations will even that out.

But, with 14% of Democrats supporting McCain at this juncture before ANY hits on Obama from Wright and the Right, I can see McCain surpassing 52%.

Thus the 53%-45% because there is no significant 3rd party this year. I may re-adjust to 52%-44% when I get a better look at the 3rd party state registrations, but I see 8 points nonetheless at this juncture.

Anybody else want to look like a fool on Nov. 4th?

I have heard comparison's of Obama to McGovern. Ususally putting Obama on the negative end of that comparison, saying he is less electible then McGovern. Remember, McGovern lost in a 49 state landslide to Nixon.

I am not saying it is going to be a definate landslide, but I am starting to think it is a strong possibility...

I've seen a bunch of new PAC ads on Obama. I'm tempted to move to 54-44, but I'll wait to see if Obama drops Biden this weekend and picks up Hillary.

1. Obama keeps Biden.

2. Biden gets caught on camera actually waving to Stevie Wonder.

3. McCain wins 53-45, appoints Bolton to SecState, Bolton tells Russkies to suck it

4. Repubs regain House, 220-215

5. Media bleats that America is sooooooo freaking racist
