i drove past the local Shell station today, they had a huge banner out about advertising nitrogen enhanced gas. anybody try it yet, what is it supposed to do?

I noticed that recently also. I cant imagine how that would do anything productive. Just another advertising gimmick to get your $$

Im still not guna buy it excuse all pun. That V crap they have was known to cause so much damage to cars. I had a friend with a DD grocery getter not abused get blown from it,... and yes it was determined to b a result from the gas.

I ironically found this while looking up info on that V crap.

He pretty much had the same problem. Not long after filling up with that V sh*t his car died n him. Took it to the dealership, gas was supposedly tested some way or another and low and behold it was just junk. How ever it wasnt sludged up, it was just terrible gas.

I used it once in my old car and it knocked like crazy. Luckily I didn't fill up the entire tank and took it easy till I re-fueled at Sunoco. I now never get anything but Sunoco.

I think they determined the percentage of ethanol was very high.

Sheetz and what ever the Giant Grocery store stations use sucks also. My Highlander dont require premium and no matter what grade I use at either one of those two places it sucks.

Local has everything to do with it but I never ever had problems with Sunoco no matter where I got it.

Not sure that I get it??? I work for an atmospheric gas company (med, lab, and welding gases). Nitrogen does work well as a cleaner when used cryogenically as a liquid. I'm not sure that a non-flamible gas such as nitrogen (liquid or gaseous) could really be of any benefit when mixed with fuel. I'm not saying it does'nt do what they say, I'm just not sure I believe it.

To me, it sounds like the next best "foo foo" gas that someone is comming out with. The welding gas companies are notorious for this. You can only go so far before you start creating more problems.
