There is no light on my shifter Is there supposed to be, if so how hard is it to replace?

Your question is kinda vaugue for anyone to answer. I'm assuming you
mean the lindicators at the base of the shifter (where it says P R N D5 D4).
If so, those are supposed to light up. First, check your fuses; if the shift
indicator lights are the only ones not lighting up it's probably not a fuse, but
it doesn't hurt to check them. I think they are lighted by LEDs, so they
shouldn't be burned out. Pull off the upper console and check the
connections of the harness going to the shifter. If it's dirty or corroded clean it up.
Put some dielectric grease on the plugs and put it back
together.
:give
If that doesn't work, let us know. I'm sure someone will be able
to help you.

Thanks for the information. Yeah those are the lights I was referring to. HOw do you pull the console up? Are there clips? Thanks again!

I pulled the console up but how do I get to the wiring harness to check the light?
