1. Was woundering what shock might be under my LS it is a 2001 premium i think. Need to stiffen the ride a bit was thinking about going to Euro shocks

2. Looking a upgrading to 17" wheels with 235/50/17ish from the 16's I am running. Aslo thinking aboiut droping with a set of new coils. Am I going to run into issues, rubbing fenders arches inner fender wells when turning......

You probably just have the base struts on the car. Two upgrades were "Sport" and "European" so my guess is that if you have an '01 Premium with 16" wheels... you have the "base" struts.

You won't rub with 17" wheels / tires. On the stock 17" wheel, you can go as wide as 255/45/17's for tires without problems. If you drop the car, you won't have issues either... but that all depends on where you drive your car. I have the SpringTech springs and I can't even get a jack under the car to change the oil. The car will scrape on speedbumps if you don't crawl over them... but I've never bottomed the car out on the road otherwise. If you're goig to get new wheels and drop the car... go with some nice 18's... a nice compromise between form and function.
