Ok so I drop the LS off at lincoln on my lunch today to have a front end rattle looked at. Then at about six I get a call from them, turns out its a salesman asking if I'd be intrested in upgrading to a 06 says he will knock $10,000 off the sticker on any 06 LS on the lot and give me between $15-17,000 for my 02 with 55,000 mile. We talked a little and he says he has one in Black with the Elite Package thats Navagation, HID's, Chrome wheels, and Cooled seets for $47k if I get $15k for my 02 with the discount it would be like 22 grand.

I know its a good deal but 22 grand is still A lot of money and I like that I own the 02 outright and I did just extended the warranty not to mention and I love the borla exhaust and wings west body kit on mine. But It dose have about 55,000 miles on it and I have had it in more then a few times and the mpg have never been what they should be. What do you guys think I should do.

get rid of it and go buy a honda.....:ricesmile

If it was me I would probably go and check it out but in the end, having a car that is paid for is better than going and getting back into 4 yrs or whatever even if its a sexy new LS. Maybe ask about a 2 yr lease or something. Of course no modding can be done and it sounds like you do that kind of thing, I know that is my only problem w/ leasing.

Where are you? I would love to get between 15 and 17 for my LS. Have 'em call me lol.

they offered between 15-$17,000 for your 02? is a V6 or 8? This might be my chance to get rid of this peice of :q:q:q:q...

Oh, my last comment did not mean my LS is in bad shape, its in excellent condition, just dealers here are such tighta$$' and you cannot get jack for anything less than a BMW or some high end crap.

Check them out, but beware. All of the Linc dealers are offering 10,000 off of the LS(for some time now). I got mine in April, with the discount. Try to get some more off if you are going to start having payments again :D

^ Yea I forgot to mention the discount on them. It is a good deal getting a new car like that for low-mid 20's but you figure you could get an '06 in a couple of yrs for just under 20 depending on miles and condition.

its a great deal.. it all comes down to u having money or not

I'm going to try and take a look at it today during lunch see if I cant get a more solid price for mine

Well hears the thing I could pay it off in a few months but that would basically cut my savings in half.

I had a buick dealership offer me $15k a few months ago for it so that seems to be the going price around South Florida

LOL when I told my dad about it he sugested I trade in his 06 Accord insted because he hates it so much. :)

Oh ya its a V8 Sport with 55,000 miles.

I recently tried to trade my '03 LS V8 Sport in on an '04 Deville. They only offered me $15,800. It has 38K on the odometer. I told them what they could do with the offer.

Well good luck w/ what you decide, if my car was almost or was paid off and still had way under 100,000 miles I would tell 'em its nice they offered but I do not feel like going back into another payment unless I had plenty of money.

I remember getting a price of 17K thrown at my LS for a trade in, I about hit the roof because that was way more than previous dealers. Only reason I did not do it is cause they still wanted me to pay 100 more a month.

I have pissed off just about every dealer w/in 50 miles of me because I'm not a dumbass when it comes to buying a car. I analyze every bit of it and it makes the dealer really upset lol. I'm not calling anyone on here a dumbass, but people around here get anything w/out knowing jack until the last paper is signed. My co-worker is paying over $600 a month for a Olds Aurora v8, not sure of the year but its atleast 6 yrs old and she still owes like 17K, I asked what they were thinking? She said they were just excited about getting a car.

hey if you can pay it off in a couple of months then go and do it, have them transfer the extended warrenty that you just purchased to the new 06 so you wont loose the $, it can be done cuz i had a focuz with the extended warrenty and from the same dealer i got my LS and they honored my warrenty and put it on the LS.
