Show your V6 & V8 air intake pics. And if anyone could tell me where did you guys get the V6 intake from? besides LS Concepts.
Thanks.

anyone here with an eclosed box? similar to one of many products of AIRAID like this one below:

it traps all the air inside getting more power to the filter.
I have plans for one in my V6 but first I'd like to see pics of any aftermarket intake or home made.
Thanks.

LSKoncepts intake with custom chrome plenum cover.

If you don't want to buy the LSkoncepts intake, you could make your own. I did that on my 3800sc project for my Beretta.

What ever happened to the guy on here who was supposed to have his brother or somebody mass produce these???

He was knocked off by the oil execs. They heard of his idea and knew his cold air box would help save fuel, so they whacked him.

Here is what I had made a couple years back.

First one is just your standard aluminum intake.

This one is made of black PVC that ducted down to the lower grill... sucked water though.

Here is a partial of the fiberglass one that sealed to the bottom of the hood.

Here is a closer pic of the fiberglass version

This is juss a temporary intake for now....My dads friend is a awesome fabricator, and as soon as he gets spare time, he's gonna weld one up for me, then I will probably go get it powder coated or sumthing.

Hope ya like! l8rz!

dubbed ls I tried your set up BUT I found it killed the response time noticeably. So I went back to rollinls setup. My filter is longer by about 5 inches though. I just need to make a encloser for it. I already have a 4" plastic flex pipe from the lower grille up to where my filter is. This setup-up may be more suitable for the 2003-2006 models because the throttle body is in the front of the motor. LOVE THE SOUND THOUGH. You can check out my set-ups in my gallery. I have one on both.

the stock intake tube sucks from MAF to throttle body.

even my cheaply made 3" pvc showed a huge improvment.

right now im waiting on parts to show up. but im doing another PVC style intake. ill do a write up on it forsure. ill be using rubber 90* elbows this time instead of pvc elbows, and painting the PVC tubing black for more of a stock look.

the intake mimmicks the LSkoncepts style intake with a cone filter at the end.

after a few trips to the track with the intake, and a few trips to the track without the intake, it really showed me how much the stock intake from the MAF to Throttle body is restricted.

Infact im willing to say the stock intake is more restricted then the stock exhaust!

yes the CAI setup up. Putting the air filter down below. (In front of the lower grille) It was a far to suck that air.
