SilverLS said:NO CHIPS they usally advance your timing and thats a BIG NO NO with nitrous
SilverLS said:you want to retard timing 1-3 degrees for every 100h.p you add (dont know if you can retard the timing on an LS without some computer help)

This isn't a problem since there is no CHIPs for the LS
correct - only the SCT XCal can do this currently. How are you doing it?
SilverLS said:I have not run it yet because Ive got the bottle out of the car....I need to get the XCal soon cuz im going to be painted up in the next week or so.....also im looking into the APEXI SAFCII so help with fuel .... just dont want to run lean .... the car pulled really hard with the 100 shot ..... now ive got my a.f gauge hooked up and Im still trying to find the cable to hook my laptop up to the car (wich is now mounted in the car) so I can keep an eye on it JUST DONT TO BLOW IT UP I need this car everyday and Im taking a risk with this already so IM going to make sure it lasts ( i ran 45 plus bottles on my chevy s10 with a 4.3 125 shot and never ever had a problem and when i traded it in the dealership said WOW she runs like a champ still (it had about 65,000 miles on it and when i got it it only had 10,000 or so and i drove the hell out of that truck here;s a pic of the SLAMMDED the purge scared alot of people but it would keep up with a vette on 1-4 (with the gas)
had there i traded it in for the ls but i put it back to stock except them got the hood so I made a great deal on the trade it was well worth itGrayGhost1 said:That's a pretty sweet looking S-10 you got there!

I agree 110% thats why i havent gone any futher with it Ive been looking for the msd that will work with the ls so if anyone can point out or in the direction would be great2001LS8Sport said:Depending on how big a shot you use, I would most definitely have it tuned!! You can have any chip...well..in this case the SCT hand held tuner, programmed for NOS. They can build in the spark retard you need with the tune. This is best done by someone experienced with these cars and done on a chassis dyno. Alternatively, you could look at an MSD box that will pull timing per rpm and is activated with the same switch as your NOS. I'm not positive MSD offers anything for this ignition...but it's similar to the Cobra stuff and they offer products for that. But to just throw NOS on a car and assume it will be safe is taking a huge chance IMO with these compression ratios.
